A Christmas afternoon project. This upload sounds a little cleaner, and looks a little less pixie. More to come! Enjoy.

The results: ...me like!

Here's a picture of the finished product. You can't tell from the image that the intonation is still a tiny bit off, but the sound is sufficiently Les-Paulish and the feel is decidedly Stratocaster. It straddles the two, by shape obviously, and the Mighty-Mite Fender-licensed neck, but the maple on mahogany and cherry body and humbuckers thicken the sound up nicely. Duncan '59 at the bridge, Yamaha (from a Mike Stern model) at neck. I added the coil tap to both to use the schematic shown in reverse in the last posting. We spent Saturday on Long Island with in-laws, and went for a nicely chilly lonely walk on Jones Beach with two of the kids. New Year's Eve we spent with the same friends NOT pictured in the Casablanca posting on this blog...lost of spirits, cigars, loud music, great food, and a great bunch of friends and church-mates to be loud and silly with.

On Christmas day the kids and I did a stop-motion film on the kitchen table. I know you can't call it a film -- it's all digital. Like, whatEVER. I'll put it up somewhere soon, but will e-mail it to friends. Yes, it's that short. Have you ever done stop-motion!?
